Another Russian 'humanitarian' convoy enters Ukraine – Border Guard Service

Another so-called 'humanitarian' convoy to Donbas has crossed into Ukraine from Russia however a large number of the trucks in the convoy were empty, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has reported.

"Today the Russia side unilaterally registered the next 39th so-called 'humanitarian convoy.' From 06:55 to 08:00 two columns amounting to 114 cars illegally crossed Ukraine through Russian checkpoints 'Donetsk' and 'Matveyev Kurgan'," assistant to the Chief of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Press Secretary Oleh Slobodian, said at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.

Slobodian stressed that the dispatch of another 'humanitarian' convoy rudely violates international legislation as representatives of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) were not involved in examining its cargo, therefore the Ukrainian interdepartmental task force only performed a visual observation without control functions.

"As a result of the visual examination, a majority of trucks appeared to be loaded by half that may indicate a definite show off of a given campaign," he said.
