Rada dismisses Valentyn Zaichuk as parliament's chief of staff after fifth attempt

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has dismissed Valentyn Zaichuk as the parliament's chief of staff.

A total of 238 MPs voted in favor of the decision on Tuesday.

It was the fifth vote on the issue, as MPs had previously failed to agree on his dismissal.

As reported, Zaichuk had written a resignation letter. He had occupied the position since 2002.
