Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko at a meeting with Foreign Minister of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn has noted that Ukraine hopes for his country's support and solidarity with Ukraine in the issue of confronting Russian aggression.

"According to the head of state, Ukraine is hopeful that Luxembourg, which presides in the EU Council in the second half of the year, will increase the EU's support and solidarity with Ukraine in the issue of confronting Russian aggression and implementing reforms," .

The parties discussed the development of the situation in Donbas, the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements and the results of the recent phone conversations in the framework of the Normandy format. Poroshenko emphasized that the most important task for today is to secure full and sustainable ceasefire.

He also noted that Ukraine makes tremendous efforts to solve humanitarian problems of people who found themselves in the occupied areas of Donbas.
