Accreditation of international humanitarian missions in DPR/LPR unacceptable – MP Heraschenko

Ukraine believes that it's unacceptable that accreditation of international humanitarian organizations takes place in the territories controlled by the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR/LPR), Ukrainian representative in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group, Petro Poroshenko Bloc MP Iryna Heraschenko has said.

"Today the so-called DPR/LPR demand that international humanitarian organizations undergo so-called accreditation on the occupied territories… But any accreditation of international mission there isn't necessary there and is unacceptable, as in fact it means legitimizing bandits," she wrote on Facebook.

"Ukraine strictly refused such an accreditation and the international organization that, to be honest, at first bough such pressure and blackmail, in the end recognized the justice of Ukrainian position," Heraschenko said.

She also noted that no one in the uncontrolled territories demanded any kind of accreditation from the Russian 'humanitarian convoys,' even though those trucks delivered something far different from wheat and bread.
