Ukrainian companies (in addition to the national gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy) in July imported gas for their own needs at an average price of UAH 5,999 ($284.47) per 1,000 cubic meters, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has said.

As reported, according to the ministry, the average price of imported gas in February was UAH 8,474 ($328.60) per 1,000 cubic meters, in March UAH 7,740 ($308.65), in April UAH 7,332 ($312.53), in May UAH 5,881 ($278.66), in June UAH 5,855 ($ 266.56) per 1,000 cubic meters.

Earlier, business development director at Naftogaz Ukrainy Yuriy Vitrenko said the average price of gas imported by Ukraine published by the Economic Development and Trade Ministry was not representative.

Naftogaz Ukraine offers to use its gas transportation capacity on the border with the EU for free to all companies wishing to import gas from Europe to Ukraine.
