A draft law adjusting the Ukrainian constitution with regard to power de-centralization has been posted on the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada website with a note "improved."

The provision of the document registered on July 1 saying that self-government technicalities in individual districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions would be determined by an individual law was included in interim terms of the draft law.

The improved version of the draft law dated July 15 suggests legalizing this norm in Section IV of interim provisions of the Ukrainian constitution itself.

According to the information posted on the Ukrainian government website, the Committee on Legal Policy and Justice has expressed its opinion only on the first version of the draft law (dated July 1), which does not include the latest adjustments.

The Verkhovna Rada's agenda for Thursday published on the parliament website mentioned consideration of a motion to add to the session agenda and to refer to the Constitutional Court the draft law on adjustment of the Ukrainian fundamental law in respect of decentralization.
