Poroshenko proposes Rada impose administrative responsibility for violating good movement procedures in ATO zone

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has submitted a draft law to the Ukrainian parliament proposing that Ukrainian law is expanded with articles on the procedure for moving goods to/from the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone.

According to a post on the parliament's website, draft law No. 2109a was submitted on June 17.

Poroshenko proposed expanding the Administrative Offence Code of Ukraine with the article "Violation of the procedure for moving goods to/from the ATO zone."

Under Part 1 of the Article, violating the procedure entails a fine on persons who move the goods from 10 to 100 non-taxable minimum citizens' incomes along with the seizure of goods.

"The same actions committed by a person who was punished for the violation of the procedure during one year entail the imposing of a fine in the amount from 100 to 200 non-taxable minimum citizens' incomes with the seizure of the goods," reads the draft law.

Poroshenko also proposed that the law on fighting terrorism is expanded with an article under which goods to/from the ATO zone are moved under a procedure approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, under a proposal of the Security Service of Ukraine.
