EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission (HR/VP) Catherine Ashton has arrived in Ukraine to help find a political solution to the current crisis in the country, her spokesperson, Maja Kocijancic, has said.

"HR/VP Ashton arrived to Ukraine where she will meet President [Viktor] Yanukovych, opposition leaders, and [representatives of] civil society, to support a political solution," she wrote on her Twitter page.
