1 min read

A march and rally in support of Ukraine's European integration are being held in the center of Kyiv.

Most of the marchers have gathered on Europe Square and filled the neighboring streets, and more people opposing the current pause in Ukraine's European integration are coming to the square where a rally has begun.

Over 100,000 people have joined the People's Assembly for European Ukraine, according to the Batkivschyna party.

Marchers are holding national flags, as well as flags of the European Union and of the parties Batkivschyna, UDAR, Svoboda, Popular Rukh and UNA-UNSO National Assembly - Ukrainian National Self Defense.

Most of them wear national and European Union flag ribbons.

The audience is being addressed by musician and poet Taras Chubai.

The Ukrainian government on November 21 suspended preparations for signing an association agreement with the European Union.

Opposition parties said the "pause" was unacceptable and demanded the fulfillment of all the terms Ukraine is to comply with for signing the association agreement at the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius on November 28 and 29.
