Tymoshenko ready to accept any proposal from Cox-Kwasniewski mission – Vlasenko

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is ready to accept any proposal from the European Parliament's observation mission - former Polish President Alexander Kwasniewski and former European Parliament President Pat Cox, the ex-premier's defense counsel Serhiy Vlasenko has said.

"Yulia Volodymyrivna has numerous times, including in public, stated that she is ready to support any recommendations of the Cox-Kwasniewski mission, as the only institution authorized by the European Union to monitor the fulfillment of the condition to eliminate selective justice from the Tymoshenko case. That's why Yulia Volodymyrivna is ready to accept any proposal from the EP's mission," Vlasenko told journalists in Kharkiv on Thursday.

"As I understand, the issue on pardoning [Tymoshenko] hasn't been removed from agenda," Vlasenko said.

He also expressed doubt that the bill on treatment of convicts abroad submitted by MP Anzhelika Labunska could be elaborated, as there is not much time for the settlement of the Tymoshenko issue before the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius.
