Number of people hospitalized after accident in Volyn region grows to 36, says State Emergencies Service

The number of people hospitalized as a result of a head-on collision of two passenger buses in Volyn region has grown to 36, the press service of the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine reported on Friday morning.

The press service said that two foreigners (a Belarusian child and a Bulgarian driver) and six Ukrainians were killed in the collision.

As reported, a SETRA bus, which was carrying Belarusians, including 40 children under 16, for holidays in Bulgaria collided with a minibus carrying Ukrainian passengers from Lutsk to Shatsk. The accident took place at 0734 on July 11 on the Lutsk-Kovel motorway near the village of Volia-Liubytivska, Kovel district, Volyn region.
