Ukrainian delegation asking EU to resume budget support for administrative reform

The Ukrainian government delegation has offered the European Union to restore sector budget support of the administrative reform in Ukraine, the press service of First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov reported.

According to the report, during Arbuzov's meeting with Vice President of the European Commission for Inter-Institutional Relations and Administration Maros Sefcovic in Brussels on Monday, the officials discussed the internal political and economic development of Ukraine, in particular in the context of fulfilling the criteria defined as a result of the EU-Ukraine Summit dated February 25, 2013, about the signing and the start of the provisional application of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.

"The vice president of the European Commission was also briefed about the progress of reforms in the area of administrative services in Ukraine... Ukraine has offered the European Commission to revisit the possibility of granting Ukraine sector budget support for these purposes. Arbuzov expressed hope for further fruitful dialogue with Sefcovic and invited him to visit Ukraine at a convenient time," the press service reported.
