Regions Party MPs leaving parliament building, promise to return tomorrow

Lawmakers from the Party of Regions faction left the Verkhovna Rada's session hall on Wednesday with the promise to come back to the parliament on Thursday.

"Since [the parliament has been] blocked, they [the opposition] do not agree to a compromise, but raise questions categorically... we won't sit and watch them," MP from the Regions Party faction Volodymyr Oliynyk said while commenting the situation to Interfax-Ukraine.

As an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported, Regions Party MPs have left the session hall and are now leaving the Ukrainian parliament building.

According to Oliynyk, deputies from the Regions Party faction plan to continue to come to the Verkhovna Rada at the scheduled time.

"We will come and it will happen for 30 days. Once 30 days have passed, the president will have the right to call early elections. I, frankly, will be insisting on it," he added.

As reported, MPs from the opposition again blocked the parliament's rostrum and presidium before the plenary session on Wednesday. The parliamentarians also blocked two entrances to the presidium with chairs.
