The UDAR Party led by Vitali Klitschko claims that the Ukrainian authorities are seeking to declare parliamentary elections invalid in some precincts where opposition candidates are winning.

"The authorities are trying to use the technology of recognizing the elections as invalid at some precincts in certain districts. And this is happening precisely where opposition candidates are winning confidently, for instance, in district 94 in Kyiv region, where Tetiana Zasukha representing the ruling party was running," UDAR said in a statement posted on its Web site on Tuesday, October 30.

In addition, the party believes the vote counting is being dragged out to rig the vote.

At the same time, UDAR called groundless accusations by the Batkivschyna United Opposition that UDAR candidates are playing into the hands of candidates from the ruling Regions Party.

"We are surprised by the position of our partners in the opposition, who are continuing to groundlessly accuse UDAR through the media of playing into the hands of pro-government candidates in certain districts. For instance, Batkivschyna has mentioned district 95 in Kyiv region," it said.

It was reported earlier that a member of the BYT-Batkivschyna parliamentary faction, Serhiy Pashynsky, had called on UDAR leader Klitschko to "sever an unnatural alliance" between the Regions Party and UDAR candidates in electoral district No. 95.
