Vlasenko: Tymoshenko not undergoing treatment from October 17, insisting on her transfer to prison

Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who is in Ukrzaliznytsia's Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 in Kharkiv, has not taken medicines and refused to undergo medical procedures since October 17, insisting on her transfer to the Kachanivska penal colony (Kharkiv), her defense lawyer, Serhiy Vlasenko, has said.

"Starting from the 17th [of October], she has not undergone any treatment due to the publication of this shameful video [in the ward and a room for medical procedures], including a video recorded by hidden cameras during medical procedures, and also on the basis of the information we received from sources in the penitentiary service that these 'videos' are recorded in all rooms on the ninth floor of Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 [where the former prime minister's ward is located]," he told reporters outside the building of the hospital on Monday.

"In this regard, Yulia Volodymyrivna, as she stated in an open letter to [Ukrainian President] Viktor Yanukovych, has stopped performing any medical procedures and taking any medicines, and is demanding that she be returned to the Kachanivska penal colony, because she thinks it immoral to conduct treatment under video cameras for the enjoyment of Yanukovych. On the other hand, she considers it improper to take the places of ordinary patients who could be treated on the ninth floor," he added.

As reported, a video was earlier posted on the Internet, in which a woman resembling Tymoshenko moving around in high heels in a hospital room and performing physical exercises in a room for medical procedures.
