UDAR to create parliamentary commission on violations of electoral law

The UDAR faction will initiate the creation in a new parliament of an ad hoc investigative commission on violations of the electoral law during the current parliamentary elections.

The party released such a statement on Monday.

"The election process for the election of people's deputies of Ukraine on October 28, 2012 is unprecedented, both in terms of the number of violations of electoral law on the one hand, and in terms of the inactivity of law enforcement agencies that should ensure its legitimacy on the other," reads the statement.

The statement says that the commission plans to investigate violations of law, in particular, "the adoption of unfair decisions by the courts of Ukraine, the bribery of voters by subjects of the election process, the falsification of the state register of voters and voter lists, vote rigging, abuse by members of district commissions during the voting and the counting of votes, as well as the inactivity of law enforcement agencies."
