The introduction of advanced production technologies, including energy-saving technologies, is an important task for domestic enterprises, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.

During the opening ceremony for a new plant at PJSC Transmash Scientific and Production Center in Luhansk on Tuesday, Yanukovych noted that a science and technology center had been created at the plant, and that highly skilled professionals had been involved in its work, the presidential press service reported.

"It's good that you have a plan for the development of the company, have a vision of your future and have already begun to produce competitive products," Yanukovych said.

He said that the creation of favorable conditions for domestic producers was an important task for the authorities. The issue concerns the provision of Ukrainian producers with affordable loans and the creation of conditions for attracting foreign investment to Ukraine.

Transmash Director General Serhiy Mokrousov, in turn, familiarized the president with the plant's product samples and briefed him on the future prospects of the company's development. He said that the average salary of employees of the plant was now about UAH 6,000.
