Web cameras will be installed at all polling stations by October 12, or at the most by October 15, Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov has said.

"The government allocated a lot of funds for the installation of cameras at polling stations. The cameras had been installed at 10,000 out of the 34,000 polling stations as of October 1. We hope that by October 12, or at the most by October 15, the cameras will be installed at all polling stations," the PM said at a meeting with German Ambassador to Ukraine Christof Weil, reads a posting on the Web site of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Monday.

Azarov said the Ukrainian government wants to hold democratic and transparent elections in line with the legislation. For this, all polling stations will be equipped with cameras that will allow the polling process to be observed online, preventing falsifications.

According to the premier, online records of the polling process will be available to international observers.

Azarov promised the German ambassador that international observers would have access to the materials of the elections, and expressed hope that all of the observers would be unbiased while assessing the elections.
