Ukraine-EU relations to improve after fair parliamentary elections, says Tigipko Kyiv, September 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Vice Premier and Social Policy Minister, Deputy Chairman of the Regions Party Sergiy Tigipko thinks that relations between Ukraine and the European Union and other countries will improve after there are fair and democratic parliamentary elections. "If we manage to hold democratic elections and form a strong constructive majority again, then we'll get positive results in relation to the EU and in other directions of our foreign policy. Because the world will see the stability of the authorities in the long-term outlook," Tigipko said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine. The politician added that it was important how the authorities work after the parliamentary elections, how they solve the country's problems, and how they fight corruption. "I think we should take lessons from previous times, conduct serious personnel reshuffles, so as to achieve progress after the elections," he said. "Today, our key task is to hold fair and democratic elections. We will hold fair elections, and I'm sure that we will find compromises with the EU and other countries," Tigipko said.
