Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland Vasyl Bodnar presented his credentials to President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.

"Today, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland Vasyl Bodnar presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda," the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland said in a Facebook post on Monday.

As reported, on October 31, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Bodnar, who had previously been Ukraine's Ambassador to Turkey, as Ukraine's Ambassador to Poland. Until this summer, Vasyl Zvarych was Ukraine's Ambassador to Poland. By decree of June 21, the president dismissed him and appointed him head of the diplomatic mission of Ukraine in the Czech Republic.

On November 26, Bodnar presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Henryka Mościcka-Dendys. Bodnar served as a Ukrainian diplomat in Poland from 2006 to 2010, and then as Deputy Foreign Minister from 2017 to 2021. In 2021, Bodnar headed the embassy in Turkey.
