Spain to supply Ukraine with 10 electric generators, new humanitarian aid program for Ukrainian families

Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles took part in the 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein format) in Germany, where she confirmed Kyiv's firm support and informed her colleagues about the most important details of new aid deliveries.

As reported on the website of the Spanish Defense Ministry, Robles noted the upcoming delivery of 10 electric generators, as well as the proposal for new training courses for the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a new humanitarian aid program for Ukrainian families, which will begin on Sunday, January 12.

She also expressed gratitude to US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who attended the Contact Group meeting in this format for the last time, noting his leadership, dedication and success in effectively coordinating military support to Ukraine from more than 50 countries.

The meeting participants were briefed on the most urgent short-term needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and reviewed support initiatives being implemented within various coalitions of forces and means in support of Ukraine.

Robles also held bilateral meetings with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and with her Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov.

The 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group is taking place in Germany at the Ramstein Air Base on Thursday, December 9, after a long break. The last 24th meeting of the Contact Group was held on September 6 at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
