The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) upheld the decision to recover Ukraine's assets of Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov and his business partners, the Skoch and Streshinsky families, valued at more than UAH 2 billion, for the benefit of the state.

"Based on the results of the review, the panel of judges of the Appeals Chamber left the decision of the HACC unchanged, and the appeals of third parties who do not file independent claims were dismissed," the court said on Friday.

It is specified that the consideration of appeals of third parties who do not make independent claims on the subject of the dispute on the defendant's side - Metalloinvest Trading AG and JSC Nexign - against the decision of the HACC dated September 25 of this year was completed on October 25.

"Thus, the decision to recover the assets of the said persons, in particular iron ore products and 100% of the charter capital of the IT company, has entered into legal force and is not subject to appeal," the HACC said.

According to information from Deputy Minister of Justice Inna Bohatykh, the matter concerns the recovery of more than 165,000 tonnes of iron ore products with an estimated value of more than UAH 2 billion, as well as 100% of the charter capital of Peter-Service Ukraine LLC - an IT company that was previously under Usmanov's control.
