The European Union's program Creative Europe will continue to support the cultural sector and creative industries of Ukraine in 2025, the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications reports.

"Ukrainian audiovisual projects have the opportunity to fully participate in the competitions of the subprogram, which is aimed at supporting European film and audiovisual industries and the development, distribution and promotion of European works, taking into account the modern digital environment," the ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that six such competitions have currently been announced, namely: European joint development; development of video games and immersive content; television and online content; development of talents and skills; media 360°; innovative tools and business models.

According to the report, grant applications can be submitted from October 1, 2024.

"The total amount of funding for projects that will receive grants under the above-mentioned competitions is EUR 81.5 million. In total, the budget of the EU Creative Europe program according to the 2025 Annual Work Program is EUR 340 million," the department added.
