Demining, restoration work continues at energy facilities after attack – Ministry of Energy

As of August 28, the consequences of the massive attack on Monday, August 26, are being eliminated at energy infrastructure facilities, demining and repair work is being carried out around the clock.

"A large-scale repair campaign is also ongoing to ensure the stable operation of the energy system and preparation for the autumn-winter period," the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported.

As noted by the department, over the past 24 hours in Zaporizhia region, deminers discovered ammunition during a tour of a substation that did not explode - they were defused.

In Kyiv region, workers discovered a UAV on the ground near an overhead line. It was eliminated.

In turn, in Rivne region, as a result of the UAV crash, substations, household consumers connected to them and the railway were de-energized, but there were no disruptions in train traffic. Power was restored using the backup scheme.

According to the Ministry of Energy, over the past 24 hours, power engineers restored power supply to 9,463 consumers de-energized as a result of military actions and technological failures.

In total, as of Friday morning, 564 settlements in Ukraine remain without power supply due to military actions and technical failures.
