AFU repel 53 assaults on Pokrovsk axis in past 24 hours – General Staff
During the past 24 hours, 134 combat clashes were recorded at the front, with the largest number of enemy attacks occurring on the Pokrovsk axis, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has said in the 8 a.m. update on Thursday.
On the Pokrovsk axis, the defense forces repelled 53 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor towards the settlements of Panteleimonivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Zelene Pole, Myroliubivka, Hrodivka, Mykolayivka, Novohrodivka, Mykhailivka, and Ptyche. The highest concentration of enemy attacks was near Novohrodivka and Mikhailivka.
On the Kharkiv axis, six combat clashes occurred in the areas of Vovchansk and Lyptsi.
On the Kupyansk axis, 16 enemy assaults were recorded. The defense forces repelled the enemy's assaults near Petrovpavlivka, Synkivka, Stelmakhivka, Berestove, and Andriyivka.
On the Lyman axis, the enemy attacked the defense positions 19 times, trying to advance near Torske, Novoserhiyivka, Makiyivka, Hrekivka, and Serhiyivka.
On the Siversky axis, the Ukrainian defenders repelled one assault by the Russian invaders near Spirne.
"On the Kramatorsk axis, the occupiers carried out eight assaults near Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, and Predtechyne. The situation is under control," the General Staff said.
On the Toretsk axis, the enemy, with the support of aviation, carried out 13 attacks near Pivnichne, Toretsk, and Zalizne.
On the Kurakhove axis, the defense forces repelled 16 attacks in the vicinity of Heorhiyivka, Kostiantynivka, and Peremoha. Twice, the occupation units tried to advance towards Vodiane in the Vremiv axis.
On the Huliaipole, Orikhiv and Prydniprovsky axes, the enemy has somewhat reduced its activity and did not carry out any offensive actions in the last 24 hours, however, it continues to destroy the civilian infrastructure of our country by all available means.
On the Volyn and Polissia axes, no signs of the formation of offensive enemy groups have been detected.
The General Staff also reports that the Ukrainian defense forces continue to conduct an operation in the Kursk direction. Ukrainian soldiers are actively inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces.
