Kirby on AFU’s offensive in Kursk region: if Putin doesn’t like it, he can just get out of Ukraine

If the Russian leadership does not like the offensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kursk region, they can simply withdraw their troops from the territory of Ukraine, said John Kirby, a representative of the White House National Security Council, commenting on the statements of the Russian side that "West being at war with Russia."

“But make no mistake about it: This is Putin’s war against Russia. And if he doesn’t like it, if it’s making him a little uncomfortable, then there’s an easy solution: He can just get the hell out of Ukraine and call it a day,” Kirby said during a briefing.

He stressed again that Ukraine is defending itself from Russian aggression, and “this is Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, pure and simple. Always has been since the beginning.”

“I’m not going to talk about Ukrainian military operations … I’ll let them [the Ukrainian government] speak to what they’re doing. We’re in close touch with them, as you might expect we would be,” Kirby stressed.
