The 330 kV high-voltage power transmission line in Zaporizhia region was left disconnected from the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), occupied by Russian aggressors, as a result of hostilities and only one power line remains, the Ministry of Energy reported.

According to its daily update on the Telegram channel on Wednesday, due to shelling by Russian aggressors, power lines in Chernihiv region were also damaged, where almost 200 consumers were simultaneously disconnected in two settlements.

In general, there is no shortage in the energy system, the Ministry of Energy said. According to the ministry, there are seven units of thermal power plants in reserve, which will be used if necessary.

At the same time, in Lviv region, during an inspection, deliberate damage to the Ukrtransnafta oil pipeline was discovered – an illicit spur pipeline was welded into the pipe.

As reported, during the occupation since March 4, 2022, Zaporizhia NPP has repeatedly remained with one power supply line (out of the four main ones available before the war) or completely switched to electricity from diesel generators when the last of the lines, including the backup one, was damaged.
