Ukrenergo and Moldelectrica in the middle of October signed four appendices to the operational agreement on simultaneous work in the Ukraine-Moldova common regulation unit, the press service of the company has reported.

In particular, the parties agreed and signed the following documents: the procedure of compensation for unforeseen deviations in the common regulation unit, the order of planning of intersystem flows in the common regulation field, dispatching control over the simultaneous operation of the energy systems of Ukraine and Moldova, parameters of synchronization devices in the intersystem grids of the enterprises. The parties plan to sign four more applications of the operational agreement after completion by the end of this year.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed the mechanisms for implementing the provision/receipt of emergency assistance between the parties, and also agreed to form a working group under the auspices of the Energy Community to agree on the step-by-step implementation of the process of exchange of the balancing energy and power reserve.

"The operations agreement regulates the parallel work of the power systems of Ukraine and Moldova in accordance with European rules and standards and is one of the conditions for the synchronization of the energy systems of Ukraine with ENTSO-E. Consistent and well-coordinated work with Moldelectrica is another confirmation of the interest of the two countries' energy systems in synchronization with ENTSO-E and effective cooperation with the Energy Community," the deputy director for operational management, the chief dispatcher of Ukrenergo, Vitaliy Zaichenko, said.
