NBU amends rules of cash transactions

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has amended the rules of cash transactions in the national currency in Ukraine.
The NBU said on its website, the amendments are outlined in NBU resolution No.54 amending some legal acts of the NBU. They took effect on June 1.
According to the document, the transitional adaptation period is envisaged for economic entities until June 30, 2018, during which business entities can use the form of a statement on payment of money, a cash receipt, a cash order, a register of incoming and outgoing cash documents, a cash book, books of accounting issued and accepted by the senior cashier and an act on the results of the inventory of available funds.
At the same time, business entities must develop and approve the order of cash receipt at the cash desk and the procedure for calculating the cashier's limit.
The document also regulates the specifics of cashing the money at the cashiers of business entities, namely: recognition of cash in the offices of institutions/enterprises and their separate units that conduct cash settlements with creation of their cash orders and keeping the cash book.
In addition, the specifics of cash registering in the cash desks of individual entrepreneurs who conduct cash settlements with the processing of their receipts and the book of income and expenses; cash recognition at the cash desks of separate divisions of institutions/enterprises, as well as at the cash desks of individual entrepreneurs who conduct cash settlements using registers for settling transactions and/or books for accounting transactions without keeping a cash book.
