No threat of Motor Sich annual meeting frustration due to SBU raids

Public joint-stock company Motor Sich (Zaporizhia) has said that there is no threat of frustration of holding a general annual meeting of shareholders scheduled for April 25 due to raids by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on Monday.

"From 7 am, the investigative group of the SBU, which has arrived from Kyiv, has been raiding the offices of the company's officials. The investigators are seizing some documents of the company," Chairman of the supervisory board of PJSC Motor Sich Anatoliy Malysh told Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.

He found it difficult to clarify, on the basis of the decision of which court, investigative actions were conducted, saying: "At the moment, I do not have this information."

"We hope that the investigative actions will not jeopardize the breakdown of the annual meeting of shareholders scheduled for April 25," the head of the supervisory board said.

On Monday the press center of the SBU reported about raids at Motor Sich under a criminal case launched under Part 1 of Article 14 and Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (sabotage).
