Ukraine's public TV facing sanction for Russia's Samoilova absence at Eurovision

Penalties will be applied against the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine because Russia's representative Yulia Samoilova wasn't given a chance to participate in the Eurovision 2017 International Song Contest held in Kyiv.
"The morning started with unpleasant news for the UA:PBC [National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine]. It looks like we are facing sanctions for 'the failure to ensure the participation of Russia's contestant Yulia Samoilova in Eurovision 2017'. And I doubt that the state represented by the SBU will be willing to stand together with UA:PBC in this legal conflict," the company's chairman, Zurab Alasania, reported on Thursday morning.
