Boryspil airport to reach UAH 1.5 bln net profit in 2017
Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv), the largest airport in the country, intends to receive UAH 1.508 billion of profit in 2017, which is 8.8% higher than the actual figure for 2016, according to a press release from the company.
According to its data, the relevant document was approved at a meeting of the Cabinet on June 7.
According to the financial plan, the net income of Boryspil airport this year will amount to UAH 3.929 billion, which is 17% more than in 2016. EBITDA is expected to reach UAH 2.629 billion (7.2% more).
At the same time, the press release notes the profitability figures could be revised taking into account the new tariff policy of the airport.
"The development plan approved by the government makes it possible to finance the necessary capital investments. When adjusting the financial plan for 2017 and developing the one for 2018, the airport will proceed from the new tariff policy that foresees reduction in revenues due to lower aviation fees," Boryspil International Airport CEO Pavlo Riabikin said.
According to him, the company intends to invest UAH 851 million in a number of infrastructure changes, in particular, the completion of a multi-level parking lot for Terminal D, the expansion of the transfer zone, the creation of additional bus exits to the platform.
