Russian businessman Giner buys 52.9% of First Investment Bank

The co-owner of VS Energy International Group and the president of CSKA football club, Russian citizen Yevgeni Giner in November became the owner of 52.93% in First Investment Bank (PINbank, Kyiv).

According to the updated structure of the bank ownership, posted on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), in addition to Giner, the shareholders of the bank are Liudmyla Hrabova (9.139744%, indirect participation through Promising Investment Programs LLC), Oleksandr Shandruk (indirect participation of 8.7% through Ukrpravo law firm), the Professional Pension Fund of the Independent Trade Union of Energy Workers of Ukraine (direct participation of 4.5826%), and more than 40 individuals who own stakes ranging from 2.1% to 0.000004%. At the same time, Oleksandr Kleschuk, who owned a 48.07% stake, and Mykhailo Spektor, who owned 4.8608%, sold their stakes.

As reported in August the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine allowed Giner to buy over 50% in First Investment Bank.

First Investment Bank was founded in 1997.

First Investment Bank ranked 53rd among 100 operating Ukrainian banks on October 1, 2016 by total assets (UAH 1.184 billion), according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
