The prolongation of a moratorium to sell land will affect the development of regions and cites, the co-founder of the Strategic Advisory Group for Supporting Ukrainian Reforms (SAGSUR) Ivan Miklos has said.

The expansion of the moratorium to sell land will affect the regions, cities and towns, as the land market could be one of the developing elements and resources for investment, he said at the sixth National Expert Forum of Gorshenin Institute on Wednesday.

He said that reforms would be impossible until populism is reined in.

Miklos also said that there is not enough political will for the more dynamic pace of reforms in Ukraine.

Reforms continue and the country is changing, but it would have not been possible without political will, Miklos said. However, these reforms must be quicker and deeper, the advisor said.
