Naftogaz debt for gas supplies to southeastern Ukraine rises to $718.5 mln - Miller

Naftogaz Ukrainy's total indebtedness for gas supplied to southeastern Ukraine has risen to $718.5 million, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said at a press conference.

"The amount that has accumulated as of today is $718.5 million," he said.

"We have only one contract for gas supplies to Ukraine, the 2009 contract, signed by the heads of Naftogaz Ukrainy that defines the gas acceptance points in Ukraine, including the point going to southeastern Ukraine. No other documents between Naftogaz Ukrainy and Gazprom concerning an alteration of the acceptance points in Ukraine have been signed. We have no such documents. Gas supplies to the southeast are being conducted under the same contract as to other regions of Ukraine," Miller said.

The gas debt has not been submitted yet in Stockholm arbitration.

It was reported earlier that Naftogaz Ukrainy's indebtedness for gas supplied to southeastern Ukraine totaled $600 million as of the end of May.
