There won't be rise in Turkish goods supply to Ukraine if Russia imposes restrictions - Ukrainian trade representative
The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine does not expect a substantial increase in imports of Turkish goods to Ukraine if the Russian Federation imposes restrictions on their supply, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Trade Representative of Ukraine Natalia Nikolska has told reporters at a meeting of the Exporters Council in Kyiv.
"I wouldn't say there will be an increase in the supply of Turkish goods," she said.
Nikolska explained that the devaluation of the hryvnia made Ukrainian goods competitive, while the increase in imports of Turkish goods to Ukraine will take time to establish trade relations. In addition, Ukraine has a different structure of pattern of Turkish goods consumption compared to Russia, the official added.
