Naftogaz won't sign contract with new Ukrnafta head without including obligations to pay dividends

Naftogaz Ukrainy will not sign a contract with the new head of PJSC Ukrnafta, Mark Rollins, without including the obligations of dividend payments to the state by the company, Naftogaz Executive Director Andriy Pasishnyk has told Interfax-Ukraine.
"The conditions of the contract with the new head of Ukrnafta have not been agreed upon within 1.5 months because of Rollins' position supporting the exclusion from the contract of obligations and his personal responsibility for executing the decisions of two meetings of the shareholders in terms of dividend payment. He also strongly opposes the inclusion in the contract of the obligation on tax debt payment. Without including these conditions, neither Naftogaz nor the minister, nor the Cabinet of Ministers will sign the contract with Rollins," he said.
According to the decision of the Ukrnafta shareholders, made at a meeting on July 22, the supervisory council of the company, the majority of which belongs to Naftogaz Ukrainy, has to sign the contract with Rollins.
