Naftogaz violates term of announcing tender to select candidates for top managers at Ukrnafta

National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy has violated a term of the announcement of a tender to select candidates as the new top managers of public joint-stock company Ukrnafta, set by the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine.
According to order of the energy and coal industry minister to Naftogaz Ukrainy head No. 01/16-1198 of June 9, the announcement on the tender was to be published by June 10 inclusively.
Naftogaz Ukrainy has not yet published the announcement.
According to sources known to Interfax-Ukraine, the conditions of the tender were approved by Naftogaz Ukrainy's board on Tuesday, June 9, although the tender has not started.
The source said that Naftogaz Ukrainy proposed to adjust cabinet resolution No. 777 of September 3, 2008, including an update that the document does not apply to the selection of the head of Ukrnafta and other companies where the state has a controlling stake.
Naftogaz Ukrainy also proposed that the resolution is amended in the following way: the Naftogaz Ukrainy board will be able to select the heads of Ukrgazvydobuvannia, Ukrtransgaz, Ukrtransnafta, Ukrspetstransgaz without holding a tender (without agreeing the candidate with the energy and coal industry minister and the Cabinet of Ministers).
