Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk have spoken at the Cabinet meeting about the upcoming increase in prices and tariffs and the government plans to provide compensations of these costs to the poor.

"There will be changes in rates… That is why we will allocate UAH 12.5 billion for the provision of benefits and subsidies to Ukrainian citizens, low-income groups as compensation for the change in prices and tariffs," Yatseniuk said opening the Cabinet meeting on Saturday.

According to him, the government will allocate about UAH 3 million for almost a million internally displaced people from Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Due to the devaluation of the Ukrainian national currency, the country needs to provide additional UAH 600 million for the purchase of medicines, which will be done, the prime minister said.
