Motor Sich tests modernized Mi-2MSB, supply to customers will start in 2015
PJSC Motor Sich (Zaporizhia) has started certification tests of the modernized Mi-2MSB helicopter, the company's leaders have told Interfax-Ukraine.
The helicopter recently made its first flight.
"We are starting the certification test of the aircraft, which will last 6-8 months. The certification and the start of deliveries to customers are scheduled for 2015," the interlocutor of the agency said.
According to him, Motor Sich plans at the initial stage to supply Mi-2MSB aircraft to only Ukrainian state customers.
"First of all, this will be the defense authority, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and probably the Health Ministry. Now we are not considering commercial orders," a representative of the company management said.
"The volume of the order will depend on the capacity of the budget. According to our estimates, the minimum demand of Ukrainian state customers for the modernized Mi-2MSB is about 50 aircraft," he said.
