Kyivsky paper mill posts slight fall in output in Jan-April
Kyivsky cardboard paper mill (Obukhiv, Kyiv region), a leader in Ukraine's pulp and paper industry in terms of production and sales, in January-April 2014 produced goods worth UAH 632.41 million, which is 6.6% down on the figure for January-April 2013.
According to the Ukrpapir association, in January-April 2014 the mill cut production of corrugated cardboard packaging by 19.5%, to 54.13 million square meters. Cardboard packaging production in Ukraine fell by 6%, to 274.54 million square meters.
In January-April 2014 the mill decreased the production of cardboard by 2.1%, to 63,410 tonnes - in particular the production of packaging cardboard was down by 1.7%, to 34,920 tonnes, and that of cardboard boxes by 2.6%, to 28,490 tonnes.
Production of base paper (for sanitary products) rose by 3%, to 26,560 tonnes, while the production of toilet paper grew by 15.2%, to 148.35 million rolls (around 258.36 million rolls were made in Ukraine as a whole).
Kyivsky cardboard paper mill is one of the largest cardboard and paper producers in Europe. It mainly produces goods from wastepaper. Its capacity for processing wastepaper exceeds 850 tonnes a day. The mill exports its products to the CIS states and far-abroad countries.
