NCER keeps retail tariffs for energy supply companies for December2013 unchanged

The National Commission for Energy Regulation of Ukraine (NCER) has approved retail electricity tariffs for energy supply companies for December 2013, Interfax-Ukraine learned from the NCER.

Retails tariffs for first-class electricity consumers from December 1 are 81.11 kopecks per kilowatt-hour (not including VAT), and those for second-class electricity consumers 103.24 kopecks per kilowatt-hour (not including VAT).

As reported, the NCER from June to December 2012 kept retail tariffs at the same level (74.37 kopecks per kWh and 94.67 kopecks per kWh). From January to December 2013 the tariffs had increased by 9.1%.

The National Commission for Energy Regulation regulates the activity of monopoly entities in the energy sector and oil and gas industries, and implements state price and tariff policies in these spheres.
