Rosselkhoznadzor introduces enhanced lab controls over produce of Ivano-Frankivsk meat plant

The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has introduced a regime of intensive laboratory controls over the safety [identifying the risk group] of products of PJSC Ivano-Frankivsk meat plant.

As reported on the Web site of the Russian watchdog, an excess of the allowable number of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms and coliform bacteria was found in refrigerated beef produced by the plant.

PJSC Ivano-Frankivsk meat plant was founded in 1994. The company is engaged in cattle slaughtering, the production of meat and animal by-products, and their wholesale and retail sale. Its main shareholder is Crosstar Ltd. (97.76% of shares).
