Nova Poshta begins testing fulfillment services in Poland

Nova Poshta, Ukraine's leading express delivery company, has begun piloting fulfillment services (a full range of logistics services including storage, handling, packaging, and final delivery to the consumer) in Poland, where it also plans to establish a customs warehouse. The company is currently negotiating with clients in the Baltic countries and the Czech Republic, CEO of Nova Post Europe Oleksandr Lysovets told Interfax-Ukraine.

"We've launched the fulfillment service in Poland on a test basis... Additionally, we plan to open a customs warehouse as part of this service. This will enable Ukrainian businesses to store goods at our warehouse in Warsaw without customs clearance for a certain period. Customs clearance would only occur once an order is placed by an actual buyer," Lysovets explained in an exclusive interview.

He noted that scaling the service in Poland is challenging due to strict regulations. Fulfillment workers must first complete training courses, receive certification, and only then can begin operations.

The customs warehouse is expected to open in 2025.

"We're aiming for this year. It's not a fast process, but we're moving in that direction," he said.

According to Lysovets, the primary customers for the service in Poland are Ukrainian entrepreneurs seeking to sell their products in Europe.

When asked which other European countries Nova Poshta plans to offer this service in, he responded that it would depend on client demand.

"We're already in talks with clients in the Baltics and the Czech Republic," he confirmed.
