FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk has signed a five-year contract with Brazilian defender Douglas Silva Bacelar, reads a statement posted on the official Web site of the club on Thursday.

The 22-year-old player became the first newcomer in the Ukrainian club in the winter off-season.

Douglas moved to Dnipro from Brazil's Vasco da Gama. He is a 2011 Brazilian Cup winner.
