Some $15 mln invested in modernization of Agrotrading House in Kyiv region

Investors from Lebanon and Jordan invested $15 million in modernizing the production facilities of MP Agrotrading House LLC (Tarascha, Kyiv region), which is engaged in the cultivation and slaughter of cattle, according to the company’s website.

According to the report, the project was implemented after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“The new equipment will allow us to provide a full cycle of production of ready-made semi-finished beef and veal products. Modern world-class production facilities include a meat processing plant and our own raw material base of 12,000 animals,” the website states.

The enterprise will introduce vertical Argentine deboning technology, which minimizes contact of meat with humans, will adhere to a temperature regime of up to +4 °C, and will establish vacuum sealing of products in Sildair bags. In addition, they will master shock freezing of meat at -38°C.

Agrotrading House LLC also announced that it had received a certificate for the production of halal meat and confirmation from the Kyiv State Laboratory of the ability to store meat refrigerated for 90 days. Compliance with food standards of Muslim countries will allow the company to export products from Ukraine to the countries of the Middle East.

The expansion of production capacity will create 300 new jobs.

Before the full-scale invasion, Agrotrading House exported cattle through ports to the Middle East. After the start of the war and the blockade of Ukrainian ports by the aggressor country, business owners decided to reformat their activities into meat processing and export of value-added product.
