Emergency rescue operations in Kyiv after July 8 rocket attack completed: 33 people killed, five of them children
Emergency rescue operations have been completed after a massive rocket attack on Kyiv on July 8: 33 people were killed, five of them children, the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration reports.
"Emergency rescue operations have been completed in Kyiv after a massive missile attack on July 8. Unfortunately, as a result of enemy shelling on the civilian infrastructure of the city, 33 people were killed, five of them are children," a message posted on the official website of the Kyiv City State Administration says.
In particular, two people died in the Okhmatdyt hospital, 14 people died in a residential building on 5 Volodymyr Salsky Street, five of them were children, seven people died in the Dominion business center, and nine people died in the Adonis clinic. Not far from the Lukyanivska metro station, two people received injuries incompatible with life. In total, 121 people, including 10 children, were injured due to the massive shelling.
It is reported that the search and rescue operation lasted almost three days. As a result of the operational actions of rescuers, 11 people were saved. Three of them are children.
Some 798 people and 185 pieces of equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of rocket attacks in all districts of the capital. Eleven fires with a total area of 3,380 square meters have been eliminated.
