The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) has installed four mobile shelters in Zaporizhia region.

"The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to supply communities (hromadas) under constant shelling with mobile shelters. Four mobile shelters have been installed in Orikhiv and Huliai-Pole in Zaporizhia region," the URCS reported on Facebook on Monday.

Shelters are being installed near healthcare facilities, markets, bus stations, public transport stops and places where administrative services are provided.

Shelters of this type are anti-fragmentation structures of civil protection and help to protect people in crowded places from shrapnel wounds. The area of each structure is 10 square meters, the shelter is designed for 10-15 people.

The URCS recalled that recently such shelters have been installed in Odesa and in settlements of Kherson region.

As reported last week, the first mobile shelter was installed in Odesa’s Arcadia, and 19 mobile shelters were installed in Kherson region during 2023 - January 2024.
