Kuleba at video conference calls on partners to urgently increase, speed up support for Ukraine

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, at a videoconference initiated by France of the ministers of foreign affairs and defense of allied countries to support Ukraine, called for an urgent increase and acceleration of support for Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) press service said.

"On Thursday, March 7, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba took part in a videoconference initiated by France of the ministers of foreign affairs and defense of allied countries to support Ukraine. The minister called on the meeting participants to make decisions guided by two rules: faster and more," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on the official website.

"Decisions must be urgent and aimed at supplying weapons to Ukraine much faster and in larger volumes," the department's press service said, citing Kuleba.

Kuleba reportedly called on "ministers of allied countries to have a sense of urgency when it comes to supporting Ukraine" and not to look for reasons why something is impossible, but to make the impossible possible and make decisions.

"If Ukraine needs more artillery ammunition and longer-range missiles to repel attacks and liberate territory, you have the ability to produce and purchase more of these weapons. If it is faster to repair damaged military equipment at bases in Ukraine rather than abroad, then it is necessary to create the appropriate capabilities in Ukraine. If more effective and more Ukrainian military personnel can be trained in Ukraine, and not abroad, then such solutions are needed," the MFA head said.

The minister also noted the need to quickly increase the pace of weapons production in Europe in order to meet the needs of Ukraine and European partners. He called for removing all obstacles to the development and cooperation of European defense industries and allocating all the necessary resources to create new production capacities.
