Russia attacks southern regions with two waves of Shaheds, with six victims in Odesa

At night, the Russian Federation attacked the southern regions twice with UAVs, the main attack was on Odesa, there were six victims in the city, the Southern Defense Forces reported on Thursday morning.

"At night, the enemy attacked the southern regions by the Shahed-131/136 UAV in two waves. The main attack was focused on Odesa, where six people were injured. There was a pause of up to 15 minutes between air raid sirens. And the combat work was carried out in conditions of an abundant approach by several drones at the same time," the Telegram channel of the Defense Forces says.

"The air defense forces managed to shoot down 11 kamikaze drones: 10 in Odesa region, one in Mykolaiv region," the message notes.

The military stated that the enemy had already used proven tactical tricks - he entered from the sea at low altitudes, resorted to complex maneuvers. Unfortunately, the downed drones flew along an inertial trajectory to residential areas.

"One of them got into a partially populated multi-storey new building in Khadjybeysky district of Odesa, caused a fire. Several apartments were damaged, one person received burns and was hospitalized. Another affected drone crashed through the roof of a two-storey residential building in Prymorsky district of the city. Another UAV crashed in the same residential area, next to an apartment building damaged during the previous attack. The blast wave caused a lot of damage to the glazing of surrounding houses, a car parked in the yard was completely burned out, and several more were beaten," the report says.

It is clarified that four people were injured, they received assistance on the spot, treated on an outpatient basis. Rescuers released one of the victims from the rubble.

In addition, the Southern Defense Forces informed that it was not possible to avoid hits. The enemy got into the warehouse of a furniture factory in the industrial district of Odesa. A massive fire broke out due to a large number of flammable substances.

"A man who was riding a bicycle nearby was thrown to the ground by a shock wave, injured by fragments of various objects that flew apart from the explosion. Medical care has been provided, he is being treated on an outpatient basis," the message reads.
